The R.M. Transfer Station is located at SW 2-13-03-W2 (just west of Langbank) and is available to be used by all R.M. of Silverwood ratepayers. Currently this service is provided free of charge so it is important to ensure the rules are followed in order to avoid the service being discontinued or fees being charged.

9:00 am to 1:00 pm

The transfer station is fenced and gates are locked when it is not open.

Collection Bins - Regular & large household waste, furniture and shingles.

 (Includes small applicances like fans, sinks, toilets)

Metal Pile - white goods (fridges, furnaces, dishwashers, freezers, microwaves etc.) and propane tanks. Appliances must have the doors removed and be put in a seperate pile.

Clean Wood Pile - clean wood ONLY - NO treated or painted wood NO waste NO nails

items not accepted

The following materials are not accepted at the Transfer station:

Batteries, electronics, antifreeze or containers, fuel tanks, hazardous waste, paint/paint cans, pesticide containers, railroad ties, used oil and filters and vehicle bodies.
