The R.M. of Silverwood is a predominately agricultural Rural Municipality located in S.E. Saskatchewan near Whitewood, SK just south of the TransCanada highway. Residents enjoy the beauty of the Pipestone Valley which runs through the middle of the R.M. Many small and large grain and cattle
farms call the R.M. their home.

The R.M. is also fortunate to have a large resource tax base with three major pipelines running through it; Enbridge, TransCanada and PlainsMidstream. As well there is as a concentration of oil wells located primarily in Division four.

The R.M. is also home to Vaderstad Industries - a large air drill manufacturing company. They are known worldwide for building Seed Hawk air drills and employ hundreds of local workers.

Many small communities surround the R.M. but there are no towns located within the municipality, only the small hamlet of Langbank. Langbank offers a few services including a community center, post office, grain cleaning plant,
and a multi-purpose Co-op store.

The R.M.'s office is located in the Town of Whitewood (just north of the R.M.) and the shop and public works yard is
